This site hosts a blog by masters-level graduate students taking a Queens College history course called History Engages the Public. Students are exploring the engagement between academic history and the broader public (the public as direct audience and as mediated through related institutions, like libraries, museums, archives, and K-12 schools, and through popular media like fiction, popular non-fiction, and Twitter).

The goal is for students to write directly for the public, so feel free to engage respectfully and thoughtfully with our posts. Further discussion is also happening on Twitter under #QCHistoryEngages.
